entertainment, and ways to get and stay Jewishly active

We want to enable every Jewish institution in Greater Toronto,
including synagogues, clubs, and special interest groups to
- COLLABORATE with each other in building Jewish community
- MAKE PEOPLE AWARE of their Jewish services and activities
- DEAL WITH PEOPLE through this new and opportunity-expanding medium
Because it is the role of UJA Federation to provide an umbrella
service for all the institutions in the Jewish community,
in areas such as community planning, fund raising, co-ordinating
community services and activities, and providing information.
The Internet enhances UJA Federation's ability to do its job,
which is to be the 'front door' for many people in the Jewish
community. And it's fun!

- Jewish Cyberspace is immense! 'Jewish Toronto' will help you explore it.
Ever try to figure out what to eat from a delicatessen menu?
There's so much on the menu that it's hard to read it and hard
to find exactly what you want. That's why you end up asking the server
"what's good?" or "do you have any ....?".
Our job, as the 'front door to Jewish Cyberspace, is to organize it,
make it easy to find what you want, tell you it's worthwhile, and help
you get there conveniently.
- Jewish Toronto is exciting and worthwhile. We help you enjoy it.
By providing directories of Jewish institutions and services,
and by linking you to the home pages of synagogues, schools,
commercial institutions and individuals throughout the community,
we strive to make a large and diverse community more 'hamish'.
Using UJA Federation site, you will be able to do a lot of things,
such as enrolling for a course, signing up as a volunteer,
paying your UJA Federation pledge, or checking your own synagogue's bulletin.
Not all of this is available yet, but every month there will be more
services available. And it will get more and more exciting!
