Shirley & the late Philip Granovsky
My late husband Philip was passionate about the Jewish community. There wasn't a Jewish cause he wouldn't support. A generous man with tremendous compassion, he established an endowment fund in both our names to support many diverse needs within the Jewish community, near and far.
We both came from humble beginnings but were blessed later and fortunate to be able to give to the community. Giving is an honour and an obligation. Whether you are of great or modest means, we always shared a view that one can give generously.
Jewish education and continuity are two key areas I continue to feel strongly about. My hope is that Jewish culture and community continue to thrive in generations to come. It's important that more people feel connected enough to give as generously as they can. Whether it is a lot or a little — every bit counts.
